What is a Native American symbol for music?

A friend wants me to help her point a tattoo combining both her Native American (specifically Pottawatomie) and Irish heritage, in addition to incorporating her like of music. I have found bounty of Native American and Irish designs, but I am having distress result a way to incorporate music symbolically into a cultural point . Any suggestions?
