Koi Tattoo Designs
i have a question for tattoo actor
or people who work in a tattoo shop…..?
if a person gets a tattoo of a koi fish does it matter if they are swimming up or down or down?
here are examples:
swimming up,

swimming down,

these arent thoughts for me. im just giving examples of them swimming up and down and wondering if there are different meanings
According to legend, the koi climb the cascade heroically , and if they are caught, they face their death on the cutting board heroically , be fond of samurai. When used in tattoos, especially with in succession water, the koi is meant to symbolize courage and the cleverness to attain goals and to overcome life’s difficulties. When the koi in the tattoo is shown swimming upstream, it can be used to mean that the tattooee is still struggling with their problem, whereas a koi swimming downstream implies that the tattooee has already overcome their difficulty. In other cases, the koi swimming downstream can represent the time of year of fall, and the koi swimming upstream can represent the spring. – http://tattoos.lovetoknow.com/Koi_Fish_Tattoos
